Fire Department Spaghetti Feed to Raise Funds for Burn Foundation

On Wednesday, October 7th, the Yakima Fire Department will once again host a spaghetti feed at the department’s headquarters, Fire Station 91, located at 401 N. Front Street. The 21st Annual Yakima Fire Department Spaghetti Feed will get underway at 4:00 pm and will run until about 7:30 pm.

The event will feature spaghetti, salad, and bread at a cost of $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and kids. Pie will also be for sale at $1.00 per slice.

Proceeds from this year’s spaghetti feed will benefit the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation. The foundation was founded in 1987 as a 501c3 charity to provide funding for burn research, prevention, and education; as well as care and counseling for burn victims and their families. It is operated solely by firefighters who volunteer their time. Events organized by firefighters, like fun runs, golf tournaments, spaghetti feeds, etc., provide the primary funding for the foundation.

The Yakima spaghetti feed is jointly organized by the Yakima Fire Department and the Yakima Firefighters Association – IAFF Local 469.
