Traffic Signal Work at Fair Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard to Affect Drivers

Traffic signals at the intersection of Fair Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will be shut down temporarily during the day on Sunday, April 19th for a few hours while work is done to replace the signal cabinet at that location.

City of Yakima crews will be installing a signal cabinet from 8:00 am until about noon that day. At times while the work is underway, the signals at the Fair Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard intersection won’t be working. Yakima Police Department officers will be in place to direct traffic through the intersection.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.
