
Beginning Monday, March 5th, 2012 the Yakima to Ellensburg Commuter bus first pick up departure time in Ellensburg will change to 6:00am. The first a.m. trips departing Ellensburg are the only time changes that were made to the schedule.

Since Nov. 2011 HopeSource (Ellensburg), with Yakima Transit’s support has been providing public transportation between Yakima and Ellensburg. The route runs Monday through Fridays only from 6:00am to 6:30pm. The cost to use the service is $3 each way or $100 for a monthly pass.

For Transit Operator Positions, Yakima Transit conducts a hiring process around June of each year, in order to comply with FTA EEO outreach requirements. Applications can be submitted at anytime to Yakima Transit. All driver positions should be submitted directly to Yakima Transit. All non-driver positions should be submitted to the City of Yakima Human Resources Department. Applicants for Transit Operator positions must fill out the application in order to be considered for employment.
