The CVC is an easy and convenient place for eligible individuals to get their free COVID-19 vaccine. It is primarily a drive-thru vaccination center, but individuals may also walk up to the site. Eligibility is not affected by insurance coverage or immigration status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CVC is a joint effort partnership between Yakima Health District, Yakima Valley Office of Emergency Management, Washington\u2019s Department of Health, the Emergency Management Division, and FEMA.<br>As of March 31, those eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at the Yakima CVC are:<br>\u2022 People 60 years of age or older<br>\u2022 People 16 years of age or older who have 2 or more co-morbidities or underlying health conditions<br>\u2022 People who work in certain congregate settings\u2014including restaurants, food services, construction, and manufacturing\u2014and are therefore considered to be high-risk critical workers.<br>\u2022 People, staff, and volunteers in certain congregate living settings\u2014including correctional facilities, group homes for people with disabilities, and settings where people experiencing homelessness live or access services.<br>Register for an appointment on <a href=\"https:\/\/prepmod.doh.wa.gov\/clinic\/search?q%5Bservices_name_in%5D%5B%5D=covid&amp;location=&amp;search_radius=25+miles&amp;q%5Bvenue_search_name_or_venue_name_i_cont%5D=yakima&amp;clinic_date_eq%5Byear%5D=&amp;clinic_date_eq%5Bmonth%5D=&amp;clinic_date_eq%5Bday%5D=&amp;q%5Bvaccinations_name_i_cont%5D=&amp;commit=Search#search_results#search_results\">Prep-Mod<\/a> or call 1-800-525-0127, press 7 for Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CVC will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday\u2014Wednesday and Friday\u2014Sunday. On Thursdays it will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those driving should use Gate 15, and those walking on to the site should use Gate 1. For individuals needing a free ride to the Community Vaccination Center, they can call 2-1-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur sole mission is building immunity for the community,\u201d emphasized Andre Fresco, Executive Director, Yakima Health District. \u201cPlease don\u2019t put off for tomorrow what you can do today.
