{"id":10605,"date":"2021-06-04T09:46:45","date_gmt":"2021-06-04T16:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=10605"},"modified":"2021-06-04T09:46:46","modified_gmt":"2021-06-04T16:46:46","slug":"tree-removal-to-close-2nd-street-d-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/tree-removal-to-close-2nd-street-d-street\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree Removal to Close 2nd Street, D Street"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A tree removal project will require closing sections of D Street and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street to traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning Monday, June 7<sup>th<\/sup>, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street will be closed from Lincoln Avenue to D Street and D Street will be closed from 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street to 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street so crews can remove trees in the area. Closures will be in effect during project work hours of 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday. The project is expected to take about two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of heavy traffic volume, drivers can expect delays in the project area.&nbsp; Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access will be maintained as much as possible to homes and businesses in the project area. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
