{"id":11183,"date":"2021-09-30T15:37:15","date_gmt":"2021-09-30T22:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=11183"},"modified":"2021-09-30T15:37:17","modified_gmt":"2021-09-30T22:37:17","slug":"yakima-health-district-news-release-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-booster-dose-recommended-for-certain-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/yakima-health-district-news-release-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-booster-dose-recommended-for-certain-groups\/","title":{"rendered":"Yakima Health District News Release: Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Dose Recommended for Certain Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Friday, September 24th, the Washington State Department of Health announced it would begin administering Pfizer COVID-19 booster doses to certain groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals in these groups can receive a booster dose after at least six months have passed since completing their primary Pfizer vaccine series:<br>\u2022 People 65 of age and older,<br>\u2022 People 18 years of age and older living in a long-term care setting,<br>\u2022 People 50-64 years of age with underlying medical conditions or those at increased risk of social inequities,<br>\u2022 People who are 18-49 years of age with underlying medical conditions, and<br>\u2022 People 18-64 years of age who are at higher risk of COVID-19 exposure and transmission due to their occupational or institutional setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yakima Health District\u2019s mobile vaccine teams have begun administering Pfizer booster doses. Individuals can find a list of locations at YakimaVaccines.org. At this time, the booster recommendation is only for those individuals who received the Pfizer vaccine.
