{"id":11404,"date":"2021-12-13T11:21:51","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T19:21:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=11404"},"modified":"2021-12-13T11:21:52","modified_gmt":"2021-12-13T19:21:52","slug":"public-works-facility-hosts-letters-to-santa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/public-works-facility-hosts-letters-to-santa\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Works Facility Hosts Letters to Santa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yakima Parks and Recreation is offering its second annual drive-thru Letters to Santa event at the City\u2019s Public Works facility this Sunday, December 19<sup>th<\/sup>, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The free event will feature music, Yakima Christmas Trucks, as well as a special mailbox for letters to Santa. Lighted features will also include Christmas-themed inflatable displays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Public Works facility is located at 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the drive-thru event, while supplies last, there will be treats available for children, such as candy, gloves and small activity sets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Claus will greet cars as they arrive at the mailbox to drop off their letters to Santa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are asked to proceed on the following route (see map below):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Approach the Public Works facility off of 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue on to J Street heading west.<\/li><li>Turn left on 21<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue<\/li><li>Turn right on Fruitvale Boulevard<\/li><li>Turn right into the Public Works parking lot.<\/li><li>After driving through the event, exit the parking lot and turn right on Fruitvale Boulevard<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Signs will be in place directing traffic. Police officers will be on site to assist with traffic flow.
