This marks the third consecutive year the City of Yakima Finance Department has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis award represents a significant achievement,\u201d said Jennifer Ferrer-Santa Ines, Director of Finance and Budget. \u201cIt reflects the commitment of the City of Yakima and its staff in meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to receive the budget award, the City had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. The guidelines are designed to assess how well the budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communications device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reviewer comments on the City\u2019s 2022 Budget presentation included, \u201cOverall, this is a great document. Information is presented in a thoughtful way.
