{"id":13596,"date":"2023-08-28T12:37:41","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T19:37:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=13596"},"modified":"2023-08-29T13:22:43","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T20:22:43","slug":"overnight-closures-planned-for-nob-hill-boulevard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/overnight-closures-planned-for-nob-hill-boulevard\/","title":{"rendered":"Overnight Closures Planned for Nob Hill Boulevard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Overnight closures of a 16-block stretch of Nob Hill Boulevard will be required for an ongoing street project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nob Hill Boulevard will be closed overnight this Wednesday and Thursday, August 30<sup>th<\/sup> and 31<sup>st<\/sup>, from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am between 13<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 29<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nob Hill will re-open Friday morning at 6:00 am and remain open throughout the Labor Day holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, overnight closures of Nob Hill between 13<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 29<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will resume weeknights Tuesday, September 5<sup>th<\/sup>, through Friday, September 15<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Detours will be posted throughout the project area and on side streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closure is due to a grind and overlay project of Nob Hill Boulevard from 13<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue to 29<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue. Work began on June 26th and the project is expected to last until mid-October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to properties in the project area are being maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.
