{"id":13657,"date":"2023-09-11T13:32:48","date_gmt":"2023-09-11T20:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=13657"},"modified":"2023-09-11T13:32:49","modified_gmt":"2023-09-11T20:32:49","slug":"work-hours-changing-for-nob-hill-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/work-hours-changing-for-nob-hill-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Work Hours Changing for Nob Hill Project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A grind and overlay project on Nob Hill Boulevard between 13<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 29<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will no longer require overnight closures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City of Yakima Public Works Department announced today, Monday, that work hours for the resurfacing project have changed from overnight to daytime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, drivers can anticipate intermittent lane closures eastbound or westbound in the 16-block project work area rather than a complete closure of Nob Hill Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project began June 26<sup>th<\/sup> and is expected to last until mid-October. Access to properties in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent weeks the project had required overnight closures on Nob Hill between 13<sup>th<\/sup> and 29<sup>th<\/sup>, with additional overnight closures anticipated this week prior to today\u2019s announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the community\u2019s patience during this work to improve a significant stretch of Nob Hill Boulevard,\u201d said Acting Construction Supervisor Dana Kallevig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.
