{"id":14224,"date":"2024-04-04T12:42:55","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T19:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=14224"},"modified":"2024-04-04T12:42:56","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T19:42:56","slug":"city-of-yakima-investment-policy-earns-certificate-of-excellence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/city-of-yakima-investment-policy-earns-certificate-of-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Yakima Investment Policy Earns Certificate of Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The City of Yakima\u2019s investment policy recently received the Certificate of Excellence from Washington Public Treasurers Association (WPTA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City of Yakima Financial Services Manager Kimberly Domine\u2019 will receive the certification on behalf of the city during WPTA\u2019s annual conference in Chelan next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Domine\u2019 will be formally recognized during the conference for her work in elevating the City\u2019s policy to best-practice level and \u201c\u2026making its policy an example that others might emulate,\u201d said WPTA Investment Policy Certification Chair Steve Groom. \u201cExcellence in public treasury is furthered when we all help each other, elevating our profession and better serving our citizens and taxpayers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City\u2019s investment policy was judged by an impartial, statewide panel as meeting the high standards of the Investment Policy Certification Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, the City of Yakima investment policy received the Certificate of Excellence in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/finance\/\">Finance (yakimawa.gov)<\/a> for more about the City of Yakima Finance Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WPTA provides local governments in Washington state with opportunities to improve and promote the public treasury management profession.
