Thanks to a $25,000 donation from the Yakima Lions Club, a new pergola is now available for the public at the City of Yakima\u2019s Lions Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe $25,000 donation made this project a reality,\u201d said Parks & Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson. \u201cIt is a great addition to the park and complements the playground the Lions Club previously helped us build.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City of Yakima parks employees assembled the pergola and work was completed earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur park maintenance crew did a great job,\u201d said Wilkinson. \u201cI appreciate their hard work and the support of our local Lions Club for helping us make the community a better place.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
