{"id":14680,"date":"2024-09-23T14:57:53","date_gmt":"2024-09-23T21:57:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=14680"},"modified":"2024-09-23T15:12:06","modified_gmt":"2024-09-23T22:12:06","slug":"sewer-project-to-close-section-of-chestnut-avenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/sewer-project-to-close-section-of-chestnut-avenue\/","title":{"rendered":"Sewer Project to Close Section of Chestnut Avenue"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Chestnut Avenue will be closed between 6<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue for three weeks starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closure will be in effect 24\/7. This section of Chestnut Avenue is scheduled to re-open the week of October 14<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Road closure is necessary to replace the existing sewer in the project area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access will be maintained to properties in the project area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
