Volunteers, led by Kyle Rasmusson, will install a pollinator garden this Saturday morning at the City of Yakima\u2019s West Valley Community Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project was created by Yakima Rotaract, a sub-group of Rotary, with assistance by the City\u2019s Parks and Recreation Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City staff prepared a 16-foot-by-16-foot area for the pollinator garden, located at the park\u2019s 75th<\/sup> Avenue cul de sac. Plants will be placed at the site this Saturday morning, with plans to install educational signage in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The garden involves installing\u00a0native plants to attract butterflies, bees and other pollinators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
