The project also includes installing utility improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The south side of Fruitvale Boulevard at the intersection of River Road and North 34<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will be closed 24\/7. The intersection itself will also be closed 24\/7, with detours posted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Closures are required for Phase 1 of the project. Phase 2 is expected to begin May 12<sup>th<\/sup>, when crews will switch to the north lanes of Fruitvale Boulevard and re-open lanes on the south side of Fruitvale.
