{"id":15145,"date":"2025-03-27T10:12:29","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T17:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=15145"},"modified":"2025-03-27T10:12:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T17:12:30","slug":"lions-pool-hosts-april-pools-day-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/lions-pool-hosts-april-pools-day-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Lions Pool Hosts April Pools Day 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The City of Yakima&#8217;s Lions Pool is hosting a free &#8220;April Pools Day&#8221; from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Every year, many pools around the state host April Pools Day events for families and community members,&#8221; said Parks and Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson. &#8220;Our hope is that offering this free event in the City of Yakima will encourage community members to stay safe in the water.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>April Pools Day includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One hour of free water safety instruction, elementary rescues, life jacket use, boating safety and hypothermia awareness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One hour of free swim time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A raffle for free life jackets, free swim lessons and door prizes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Lions Pool is located at 509 West Pine Street.
