Emergency services will remain available. Yakima Municipal Court will be closed for the holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yakima Transit will not provide bus service on June 19th. Garbage pick-up will not be delayed, but the Refuse Division office will be closed June 19th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City of Yakima pools will be open June 19<sup>th<\/sup>. These include Lions Pool, Franklin Pool and the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/ribbon-cutting-planned-june-19th-for-aquatic-center-at-mlk-jr-park\/\">Aquatic Center at Martin Luther King Jr. Park<\/a>, which is scheduled to open following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:00 pm on June 19<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During its meeting on June 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, the Yakima City Council issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/legistarweb-production.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/attachment\/pdf\/3356307\/Juneteenth_Freedom_Week_2025.pdf\">Juneteenth Week Proclamation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local events are planned to mark Juneteenth, including a Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 14<sup>th<\/sup>, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. The event will be preceded by a Freedom Ride Caravan at 11:00 am Saturday.
