{"id":15656,"date":"2025-09-18T08:29:41","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T15:29:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=15656"},"modified":"2025-09-18T08:29:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T15:29:42","slug":"sunfair-parade-kicks-off-2025-fair-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/sunfair-parade-kicks-off-2025-fair-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunfair Parade Kicks Off 2025 Fair Season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Yakima Sunfair Parade will follow its familiar route of more than one-and-a-half miles through Downtown Yakima on Saturday, September 20<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parade begins at 10:00 am and is anticipated to last until 2:00 pm. It is expected to attract about 10,000 spectators. The parade will include about 200 vehicles as it makes its way down Yakima Avenue from 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue to Naches Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parade route will be closed to traffic. Side streets along the parade route will also be closed to through traffic while the parade is underway. As the last entries in the parade pass by the closed side streets, they will be reopened to traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yakima Avenue will be closed to all traffic from N. 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue to 6<sup>th<\/sup> Street from 9:00 am until the parade concludes.
