Exhibit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The new Windows Alive! art exhibit opens this Friday, October 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, in Downtown Yakima. It can be seen along the northside of Yakima Avenue between Hotel Maison and 3rd Street. An artists reception is 5:30 pm Friday at Hotel Maison, 321 E. Yakima Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibit will be available for viewing through late March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artists\u2019 complete statements and samples of their work can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/windowsalive.com\/\">https:\/\/windowsalive.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following are the Central Washington artists selected for the new Fall\/Winter 2025-26 Windows Alive! exhibit, including an excerpt from their artist bios\/statements,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bea Plath: \u201cI began painting in 2011 to fill my winter days after retirement. Around the same time, I heard the term, \u2018Vocation of Love,\u2019 from a friend. I began painting with that vocation in mind.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>John Fannin: \u201cSeeking the uncommon in the common is the theme that runs through my photographs in this collection taken in 2024 and 2025 in Budapest, Hungary.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dani Redfeldt: \u201cMy work blends techniques from both acrylics and oils to create tranquil, harmonious landscapes that evoke a sense of tranquility and connection with nature.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mary Hale: \u201cI started painting seriously when I was about 15, using tempera paints and a lot of hopes and prayers. From there, I got into acrylics and later branched out into oil paints and mixed media pieces.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ketsiri and Daniel DeBord: \u201cOur photography is a celebration of nature\u2019s beauty, capturing the awe-inspiring landscapes and delicate details that make each place unique.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/council\/yakima-arts-commission\/\">Yakima Arts Commission<\/a>, an advisory group appointed by the Yakima City Council, developed the Windows Alive! idea to harness the creativity of Central Washington artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in its 12th year, Windows Alive exhibits have featured artwork of over 150 Central Washington artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a submission and evaluation process, the above artists were chosen to be part of the latest &#8220;Windows Alive!&#8221; exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-965779ad-3fe4-40ec-9450-f60d1dfa42e2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/New-Windows-Alive-Art-Exhibit.pdf\">New Windows Alive!
