{"id":16016,"date":"2026-02-27T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=16016"},"modified":"2026-02-26T16:51:38","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T00:51:38","slug":"traffic-restrictions-needed-for-34th-and-fruitvale-roundabout-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/traffic-restrictions-needed-for-34th-and-fruitvale-roundabout-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic Restrictions\u00a0Needed\u00a0for 34th\u00a0and Fruitvale Roundabout\u00a0Work"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Drivers will&nbsp;encounter&nbsp;lane closures for&nbsp;nearly two&nbsp;weeks at the intersection of 34<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard&nbsp;due to roundabout work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following be in effect 24\/7 from 6:00 am Monday, March 2nd, through Thursday, March 12th.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Traffic will be one lane in each direction through the roundabout.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eastbound traffic will not have access to River Road north of Fruitvale Boulevard\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Westbound traffic will not have access to River Road\u00a0south of Fruitvale Boulevard.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Detours will be provided.&nbsp;&nbsp;Access will be&nbsp;maintained&nbsp;to properties in the project area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Street, curb,&nbsp;gutter&nbsp;and sidewalk upgrades for the new roundabout were completed in November 2025.&nbsp;Concrete that was used in the island&nbsp;portion&nbsp;of the roundabout needs to be replaced.
