{"id":16217,"date":"2026-07-30T14:03:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T21:03:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=16217"},"modified":"2026-07-30T14:03:18","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T21:03:18","slug":"road-project-will-impact-traffic-on-portion-of-fruitvale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/road-project-will-impact-traffic-on-portion-of-fruitvale\/","title":{"rendered":"Road Project Will Impact Traffic on Portion of Fruitvale"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From August 3<sup>rd<\/sup> through August 13<sup>th<\/sup>, a section of Fruitvale Boulevard will be impacted while a grind and overlay paving project is underway.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project will take place on the portion of Fruitvale between 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 34<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.&nbsp; Intermittent lane restrictions will be in place until the project is completed.&nbsp; Work on the project will take place from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grinding and overlaying a road involves removing old and deteriorated asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt.&nbsp; Once the process is completed, the drivability and safety of a road surface is significantly improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.&nbsp;
