{"id":16242,"date":"2026-08-21T11:58:33","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T18:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=16242"},"modified":"2026-08-21T11:58:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T18:58:33","slug":"infrastructure-project-to-impact-traffic-on-32nd-avenue-and-nob-hill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/infrastructure-project-to-impact-traffic-on-32nd-avenue-and-nob-hill\/","title":{"rendered":"Infrastructure Project to Impact Traffic on 32nd Avenue and Nob Hill"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Improvements to the drinking water, irrigation water, and stormwater systems, as well as sidewalk upgrades, will impact traffic next week on 32<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of the project, parts of 32<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue both north and south of Nob Hill will be closed to thorough traffic from August 24<sup>th<\/sup> to August 28<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Local traffic will still be allowed on 32<sup>nd<\/sup>.&nbsp; A detour route around the 32<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue closures will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, lane restrictions will be in place on Nob Hill between 28<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 40<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue from August 24<sup>th<\/sup> to August 28<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; At least one lane of traffic in each direction on Nob Hill through the project area will be open while the work is underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drivers should expect localized traffic and parking impacts in the area and are encouraged to slow down and proceed cautiously through work zones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"core\/file\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!state.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Nob-Hill-Infrastructure-Project-News-Release.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of Nob Hill Infrastructure Project - News Release.\"><\/object><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-d20a2f22-34b2-480d-b4c8-b72de3509d03\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Nob-Hill-Infrastructure-Project-News-Release.pdf\">Nob Hill Infrastructure Project &#8211; News Release<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Nob-Hill-Infrastructure-Project-News-Release.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button wp-element-button\" download aria-describedby=\"wp-block-file--media-d20a2f22-34b2-480d-b4c8-b72de3509d03\">Download<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Improvements to the drinking water, irrigation water, and stormwater systems, as well as sidewalk upgrades, will impact traffic next week on 32nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.
