{"id":1909,"date":"2014-07-25T15:13:45","date_gmt":"2014-07-25T22:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=1909"},"modified":"2014-07-25T15:13:45","modified_gmt":"2014-07-25T22:13:45","slug":"citywide-road-resurfacing-project-update-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/citywide-road-resurfacing-project-update-11\/","title":{"rendered":"Citywide Road Resurfacing Project Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A citywide street repaving project that began in mid May and will continue until this fall will affect traffic in several areas of Yakima from July 28<sup>th<\/sup> through August 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>From Monday, July 28<sup>th<\/sup> through Monday, August 4<sup>th<\/sup>, periodic lane closures will occur each day from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on Walnut Street between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street and 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and on Lincoln Avenue between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street and 10<sup>th<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n<p>The intersection of 40<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will be closed to all traffic beginning at 9:00 pm on Friday, August 1<sup>st<\/sup> through Monday, August 4<sup>th<\/sup> at 5:00 pm while the intersection is rebuilt.<\/p>\n<p>The following street sections will be completely closed to traffic overnight from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am on different days during the week of July 28<sup>th<\/sup> to August 1<sup>st<\/sup>:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Lincoln between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue and 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue between Washington Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Nob Hill between 32<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue and 48<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue between Nob Hill and Englewood Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Yakima Avenue between 12<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Tieton Drive between 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 33<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Tieton Drive between 40<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 48<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; MLK, Jr. Boulevard between 8<sup>th<\/sup> Street and Pierce Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Walnut Street between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street and 8<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; D Street between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue and 5<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue between Walnut and D Street<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Lincoln between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street and 10<sup>th<\/sup> Street<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Summitview Avenue between Yakima Avenue and 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue<\/p>\n<p>Detour routes will be in place so drivers can go around the closed portions of those streets.<\/p>\n<p>A map showing the sections of roads that will be repaved during the project is posted on the City\u2019s website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/apps\/streets\/resurfacing\/\">https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/apps\/streets\/resurfacing\/<\/a>.
