The installation of new sewer service to a retail center will result in daytime closures of a portion of Fair Avenue during the first three days of next week.<\/p>\n
Fair Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Lafollette Street will be closed to all traffic from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday, March 23rd<\/sup> and from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 24th<\/sup> and Wednesday, March 25th<\/sup> while sewer lines are extended to the Fiesta Foods retail center. That section of Fair Avenue will be open to traffic overnight on Tuesday.<\/p>\n A detour around the project area will route drivers along 6th<\/sup> Street to Wilson Lane and then back to Fair Avenue.<\/p>\n While the project is underway, drivers can expect delays on roads near the project area. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.<\/p>\n Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area when necessary.<\/p>\n As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n For more information about the project, contact Construction Supervisor Bruce Floyd at 575-6138.<\/p>\n
