{"id":3522,"date":"2016-05-25T13:06:06","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T20:06:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3522"},"modified":"2016-05-25T13:07:07","modified_gmt":"2016-05-25T20:07:07","slug":"motorists-urged-avoid-64th-avenue-tieton-drive-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/motorists-urged-avoid-64th-avenue-tieton-drive-thursday\/","title":{"rendered":"Motorists Urged to Avoid 64th Avenue and Tieton Drive on Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paving work, in connection with a traffic signal improvement project at the intersection of 64<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and Tieton Drive, is expected to result in significant delays for drivers along Tieton Drive on Thursday, May 26<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>While the project is underway, traffic on Tieton Drive will be reduced to a single lane for all traffic between 63<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue and 67<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue between 6:00 AM and Noon.\u00a0 Flaggers will be in place to control access to the shared lane.<\/p>\n<p>In the early afternoon, another lane of traffic should be available, thus allowing Eastbound and Westbound traffic to each have a travel lane.<\/p>\n<p>During the paving work, 64<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will also be closed to thru traffic and access to the Westwood West golf course will be from Nob Hill Boulevard only.<\/p>\n<p>Crews expect to complete paving activities by 4:00 PM on Thursday afternoon.\u00a0 The entire traffic signal improvement project is slated to be finished in late June.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Construction Supervisor Bruce Floyd at 575-6138.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paving work, in connection with a traffic signal improvement project at the intersection of 64th Avenue and Tieton Drive, is expected to result in significant delays for drivers along Tieton Drive on Thursday, May 26th.
