{"id":3587,"date":"2016-06-15T12:44:14","date_gmt":"2016-06-15T19:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3587"},"modified":"2016-06-15T12:44:14","modified_gmt":"2016-06-15T19:44:14","slug":"tree-removal-7th-avenue-impact-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/tree-removal-7th-avenue-impact-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree Removal on 7th Avenue to Impact Traffic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A tree removal project on 7<sup>th<\/sup> Street will impact traffic along a one-block section of the street for most of each day on Thursday, June 16<sup>th<\/sup> and Friday, June 17<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Crews will be working to remove a large tree located in public right-of-way on 7<sup>th<\/sup> Street from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm each day on June 16<sup>th<\/sup> and June 17<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 In order to ensure the highest degree of safety for both crews and the public, 7<sup>th<\/sup> Street between Lincoln Avenue and D Street will be closed during project work hours (6:00 am to 3:30 pm).\u00a0 No traffic will be allowed through that portion of 7<sup>th<\/sup> Street during project work hours.\u00a0 Drivers will be directed to detour routes around the project area by flaggers.<\/p>\n<p>Cars also need to be removed from parking spaces along the portion of 7<sup>th<\/sup> Street between Lincoln Avenue and D Street during project work hours.\u00a0 Cars not removed by their owners may be towed.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained if possible and traffic will be allowed through the project area if absolutely necessary.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Tree-Removal-Project-on-7th-Street-News-Release.pdf\">Tree Removal Project on 7th Street &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A tree removal project on 7th Street will impact traffic along a one-block section of the street for most of each day on Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th.
