{"id":3644,"date":"2016-07-15T09:36:12","date_gmt":"2016-07-15T16:36:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3644"},"modified":"2016-07-15T09:36:12","modified_gmt":"2016-07-15T16:36:12","slug":"tree-removal-3rd-avenue-impact-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/tree-removal-3rd-avenue-impact-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree Removal on 3rd Avenue to Impact Traffic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A tree removal project on 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue will impact traffic along several blocks of the street for most of each day from Monday, July 18<sup>th<\/sup> through Friday, July 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Crews will be working to remove trees located in public right-of-way on the west side of 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue between Division Street and Nob Hill Boulevard from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm each day from July 18<sup>th<\/sup> through July 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 In order to ensure the highest degree of safety for both crews and the public, the southbound lanes of 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue between Division Street and Nob Hill Boulevard will be closed during work hours (6:00 am to 4:00 pm).\u00a0 Traffic along that section of 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction.\u00a0 Drivers will be directed through the project area by flaggers.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Tree-Removal-Project-on-3rd-Avenue-News-Release.pdf\">Tree Removal Project on 3rd Avenue &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A tree removal project on 3rd Avenue will impact traffic along several blocks of the street for most of each day from Monday, July 18th through Friday, July 22nd.
