{"id":3674,"date":"2016-07-26T15:48:58","date_gmt":"2016-07-26T22:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3674"},"modified":"2016-07-26T15:48:58","modified_gmt":"2016-07-26T22:48:58","slug":"road-improvement-project-nob-hill-impact-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/road-improvement-project-nob-hill-impact-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"Road Improvement Project on Nob Hill to Impact Traffic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A road improvement project will impact traffic along a two-block section of Nob Hill Boulevard on Wednesday, July 27<sup>th<\/sup> and Thursday, July 28<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cgrind and overlay\u201d project will take place on Nob Hill between 15<sup>th<\/sup> Street and 17<sup>th<\/sup> Street and will involve removing old and deteriorated asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt. The eastbound, outside lane along that section of Nob Hill will be repaved.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the project will take place between 6:00 am and 3:30 pm each day on July 27<sup>th<\/sup> and July 28<sup>th<\/sup>. While the project is underway, the eastbound, outside lane along the section of Nob Hill between 15<sup>th<\/sup> Street and 17<sup>th<\/sup> Street will be closed to traffic.\u00a0 Eastbound traffic along that section of Nob Hill will be restricted to one lane.\u00a0 No westbound lanes will be affected by the project.\u00a0 Drivers will be directed around the project area by flaggers.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Road-Improvement-Project-on-Nob-Hill-News-Release.pdf\">Road Improvement Project on Nob Hill &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A road improvement project will impact traffic along a two-block section of Nob Hill Boulevard on Wednesday, July 27th and Thursday, July 28th.
