{"id":3763,"date":"2016-08-22T14:53:35","date_gmt":"2016-08-22T21:53:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3763"},"modified":"2016-08-22T14:53:35","modified_gmt":"2016-08-22T21:53:35","slug":"tree-removal-9th-avenue-impact-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/tree-removal-9th-avenue-impact-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree Removal on 9th Avenue to Impact Traffic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A tree removal project on 9<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will impact traffic along a one-block section of the street for most of each day on Tuesday, August 23<sup>rd<\/sup> and Wednesday, August 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Crews will be working to remove a large tree located in public right-of-way on the west side of the street in the 200 block of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm on both August 23<sup>rd<\/sup> and August 24<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 In order to ensure the highest degree of safety for both crews and the public, the section of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue between Walnut Street and Spruce Street will be closed during work hours (6:00 am to 3:30 pm).\u00a0 Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Tree-Removal-Project-on-9th-Avenue-News-Release.pdf\">Tree Removal Project on 9th Avenue &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A tree removal project on 9th Avenue will impact traffic along a one-block section of the street for most of each day on Tuesday, August 23rd and Wednesday, August 24th.
