{"id":3907,"date":"2016-10-15T16:45:14","date_gmt":"2016-10-15T23:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3907"},"modified":"2016-10-17T11:22:01","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T18:22:01","slug":"sewer-line-installation-impact-traffic-nob-hill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/sewer-line-installation-impact-traffic-nob-hill\/","title":{"rendered":"Sewer Line Installation to Impact Traffic on Nob Hill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A project to install a sewer line to a retail development will impact traffic along a roughly one-and-a-half-block section of Nob Hill Boulevard for most of each day on Monday, October 17<sup>th<\/sup> and Tuesday, October 18<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Crews from Tri-Valley Construction, Inc., a Yakima-based contracting firm, will be installing a sewer line to serve the Rainier Square development on October 17<sup>th<\/sup> and 18<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 As a result, traffic on Nob Hill between 25<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and just east of 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm each day on Monday, October 17<sup>th<\/sup> and Tuesday, October 18<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Flaggers will be in place to help drivers navigate through the project area.\u00a0 Cones and appropriate signage will also assist drivers.\u00a0 Drivers should be especially attentive while traveling through the project area.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>Because of heavy traffic volumes in the area, drivers can expect delays in and around the project area while work on the project is underway.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.\u00a0 Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Construction Supervisor Bruce Floyd at 575-6138.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/sewer.pdf\">Sewer Line Installation on Nob Hill &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A project to install a sewer line to a retail development will impact traffic along a roughly one-and-a-half-block section of Nob Hill Boulevard for most of each day on Monday, October 17th and Tuesday, October 18th.
