{"id":3948,"date":"2016-11-04T14:17:28","date_gmt":"2016-11-04T21:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=3948"},"modified":"2016-11-04T14:17:28","modified_gmt":"2016-11-04T21:17:28","slug":"traffic-signal-work-48th-avenue-tieton-drive-affect-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/traffic-signal-work-48th-avenue-tieton-drive-affect-drivers\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic Signal Work at 48th Avenue and Tieton Drive to Affect Drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Traffic signals at the intersection of 48<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and Tieton Drive will be shut down temporarily during the morning on Tuesday, November 8<sup>th<\/sup> for about four hours while a signal cabinet is upgraded at that location.<\/p>\n<p>City of Yakima crews will be working on upgrading a signal cabinet at that intersection from approximately 8:00 am until about 12:00 pm on November 8<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 While the work is underway, the signals at the 48<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and Tieton intersection will not be working.\u00a0 Traffic through the intersection will be restricted to one lane in each direction.\u00a0 Temporary stop signs will also be in place at the intersection.\u00a0 Drivers should be especially attentive while traveling through the project area.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Signal-Cabinet-Work-at-48th.pdf\">Signal Cabinet Work at 48th and Tieton &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Traffic signals at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Tieton Drive will be shut down temporarily during the morning on Tuesday, November 8th for about four hours while a signal cabinet is upgraded at that location.
