{"id":4264,"date":"2017-03-23T10:55:54","date_gmt":"2017-03-23T17:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=4264"},"modified":"2017-03-23T10:55:54","modified_gmt":"2017-03-23T17:55:54","slug":"removal-debris-wide-hollow-creek-affect-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/removal-debris-wide-hollow-creek-affect-drivers\/","title":{"rendered":"Removal of Debris from Wide Hollow Creek to Affect Drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The removal of debris from a section of Wide Hollow Creek will result in traffic impacts along a small portion of 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue for about two hours on Friday, March 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Crews from the City of Yakima&#8217;s Streets Division and Wastewater Collections Division will be removing debris from Wide Hollow Creek just west of a bridge on 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue that crosses the creek from 9:00 am until about 11:00 am on March 24<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Southbound traffic along the section of 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue near and across the bridge will be restricted to one lane while the project is underway.<\/p>\n<p>Because of heavy traffic volumes, drivers can expect delays in the project area.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430 or Surface Water Engineer Randy Meloy at 576-6606.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Wide-Hollow-Creek-Debris-Removal-News-Release.pdf\">Wide Hollow Creek Debris Removal &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The removal of debris from a section of Wide Hollow Creek will result in traffic impacts along a small portion of 24th Avenue for about two hours on Friday, March 24th.
