The 2017 Yakima Farmers’ Market season is off and running.<\/p>\n
Now in its 18th<\/sup> year, the market opened for the 2017 season in May.\u00a0 The market is open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each Sunday through October 29th<\/sup>. It is located downtown on 3rd<\/sup> Street between Yakima Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.<\/p>\n Shoppers will find vendors offering fresh produce, original art, beautiful flowers, and mouthwatering concessions \u2013 all within a few steps of each other.<\/p>\n A hearty breakfast including pancakes, bacon or sausage, and eggs is served every Sunday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the market.\u00a0 Breakfast costs just $5.00.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Yakima Farmers\u2019 Market is an important part of the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Yakima,\u201d said City of Yakima Communications & Public Affairs Director Randy Beehler.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s a great place to see friends and neighbors and to experience the amazing produce and products from right here in the Yakima Valley. Dropping by the Yakima Farmers\u2019 Market should become a regular part of the weekend routine.\u201d<\/p>\n Special events are planned throughout the 2017 Yakima Farmers’ Market season. On July 30th<\/sup>, the market will officially celebrate its 18th<\/sup> anniversary.\u00a0 A Kids Day is held the third Sunday of each month – the next one is August. 20th<\/sup>.
