The event will feature six bands performing a combined six hours of live blues music on two stages.<\/p>\n<p>Otis Taylor of Boulder, Colorado is the headlining artist. Taylor, whose unique instrumentation includes banjo and cello, will take the Main Stage at 8:30 pm for a 90-minute concert. <em>Guitar Player Magazine<\/em> has called him &#8220;arguably the most relevant blues artist of our time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The event opens at 4:00 pm on August 19<sup>th<\/sup> with Alabama native Brett &#8220;Bad Blood&#8221; Benton taking the stage. The Ben Johnson Blues Company will make its debut performance at 4:50 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Blues and \u201cRock Funk\u201d trio JunkBelly, based in Wenatchee, is scheduled to appear next at 5:45 pm, followed by acoustic folk blues artist Jody Carroll at 6:40 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Robin Barrett &amp; Coyote Kings, also known as RBnCK, will perform with Tiphony Dames at 7:40 pm. RBnCK&#8217;s latest CD, &#8220;Howl,&#8221; won the 2015 Empire Award for Best Blues CD. Dames&#8217; background includes singing at the Apollo Theater in Harlem when she was just 10 years old.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues and Local Brews Bash will also feature nine Yakima-area breweries. Only people ages 21 and older will be allowed into the event. However, a free family viewing area will be accessible via Staff Sgt. Pendleton Avenue in front of North Town Coffee House.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the Yakima Blues and Local Brews Bash can be purchased at the Capitol Theatre.
