{"id":4817,"date":"2017-09-16T12:08:36","date_gmt":"2017-09-16T19:08:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=4817"},"modified":"2017-09-16T12:08:36","modified_gmt":"2017-09-16T19:08:36","slug":"tree-trimming-scenic-drive-pecks-canyon-road-affect-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/tree-trimming-scenic-drive-pecks-canyon-road-affect-drivers\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree Trimming on Scenic Drive and Pecks Canyon Road to Affect Drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tree trimming near the intersection of Scenic Drive and Pecks Canyon Road will impact traffic for about four hours on Monday, September 18<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>City of Yakima crews will be trimming a tree near the Scenic Drive and Pecks Canyon Road intersection to improve driver and pedestrian safety in the area from 8:00 am until about noon on September 18<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Traffic on Pecks Canyon Road will be rerouted east onto Scenic Drive or south onto 53<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue.\u00a0 Eastbound traffic on Scenic Drive will be rerouted south onto 58<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Flaggers will be in place to reroute drivers through the area where tree trimming operations will be underway.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Tree-Trimming-at-Scenic-Drive-and-Pecks-Canyon-Road-News-Release.pdf\">Tree Trimming at Scenic Drive and Pecks Canyon Road &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tree trimming near the intersection of Scenic Drive and Pecks Canyon Road will impact traffic for about four hours on Monday, September 18th.
