{"id":5626,"date":"2018-03-15T09:55:05","date_gmt":"2018-03-15T16:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=5626"},"modified":"2018-03-15T09:55:05","modified_gmt":"2018-03-15T16:55:05","slug":"downtown-artwalk-planned-for-march-22nd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/downtown-artwalk-planned-for-march-22nd\/","title":{"rendered":"Downtown Artwalk Planned for March 22nd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five venues will take center stage during a Downtown Artwalk in Yakima on Thursday, March 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the third time we\u2019ve done this,&#8221; said David Lynx, a member of the City of Yakima&#8217;s Arts Commission and Director of the Larson Gallery. &#8220;It brings an awareness of what\u2019s available in Downtown Yakima in terms of visual art.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Downtown Artwalk is from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on March 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>It is free of charge and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>The venues and featured artists include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gilbert Cellars, 5 North Front Street. Art by David Johansson.<\/li>\n<li>Hotel Maison, 321 East Yakima Avenue. Art by Bill Brennen, W D Frank, and Albert Van Troba.<\/li>\n<li>Yakima Maker Space, 16 South 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street. Art by Jen Borst, &#8220;The View From Here.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Larson @ The Seasons, 101 North Naches Avenue. Group exhibition, &#8220;The Artist Within: A Different View of Dementia.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Essencia Artisan Bakery, 4 North 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street. Group exhibition, &#8220;Voyage of the Monarchs.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Art exhibits will include painting and photography, Lynx said.
