{"id":5797,"date":"2018-05-01T15:31:18","date_gmt":"2018-05-01T22:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=5797"},"modified":"2018-05-01T15:31:18","modified_gmt":"2018-05-01T22:31:18","slug":"road-repair-project-to-impact-traffic-on-ahtanum-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/road-repair-project-to-impact-traffic-on-ahtanum-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Road Repair Project to Impact Traffic on Ahtanum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A road repair project will impact traffic on a section of Ahtanum Road for part of the day on Wednesday, May 2<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the project, the westbound lane of Ahtanum between 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 26<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will be closed on May 2<sup>nd<\/sup> from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.\u00a0 Detour routes will be in place to allow drivers to avoid the project area.\u00a0 Westbound traffic will be detoured from Ahtanum north on 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue to Washington Avenue, then onto 48<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue\/Spring Creek Road before returning to Ahtanum Road.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Ahtanum-Road-Project-News-Release.pdf\">Ahtanum Road Project &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A road repair project will impact traffic on a section of Ahtanum Road for part of the day on Wednesday, May 2nd.
