Many<\/span> of the City of Yakima’s facilities will be closed Monday, May 28th<\/span><\/sup>, for Memorial Day.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That includes City Hall, Y-PAC, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation offices.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The City’s Harman Center will be closed Saturday, May 26th<\/span><\/sup>, and Monday, May 28th<\/span><\/sup>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However, the office of Tahoma Cemetery, 1802 Tahoma Avenue, will be open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (May 26th through 28th) from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Monday, May 28th. Garbage collection service schedules by the City’s Refuse Division will be delayed by one day next week. Those with service scheduled for Friday, June 1st<\/span><\/sup>, will instead have their garbage picked up on Saturday, June 2nd<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The one-day delay next week also applies to yard waste.<\/span><\/p>\n

To ensure proper service, residents are asked to have their carts set out by 6:00 am.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beginning Friday, June 1st<\/span><\/sup>, the City of Yakima’s Solid Waste Division will switch to summer hours, with drivers starting at 6:00 am.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registrations for City of Yakima Parks and Recreation programs, as well as picnic shelter reservations, can still be made Monday by visiting <\/span><\/span>https:\/\/yakimaparks.com\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
