{"id":6282,"date":"2018-09-06T10:56:43","date_gmt":"2018-09-06T17:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=6282"},"modified":"2018-09-06T10:56:43","modified_gmt":"2018-09-06T17:56:43","slug":"harman-center-plans-grandparents-day-sock-hop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/harman-center-plans-grandparents-day-sock-hop\/","title":{"rendered":"Harman Center Plans Grandparents Day Sock Hop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leather jackets and poodle skirts will be in fashion during the City of Yakima Harman Center&#8217;s first Grandparents Day Sock Hop on Saturday, September 15<sup>th<\/sup>, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to do something to celebrate Grandparents Day,&#8221; said Recreation Program Supervisor Leslie Richards. &#8220;We&#8217;re hoping for a family-friendly event to bring the kids and grandkids and have a good time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>National Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 9<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>The September 15<sup>th<\/sup> sock hop will include light refreshments, a photo booth and doo wop music provided by DJ David Gotzh.<\/p>\n<p>The event is free and no pre-registration is required.
