{"id":6398,"date":"2018-10-04T16:09:16","date_gmt":"2018-10-04T23:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=6398"},"modified":"2018-10-04T16:41:26","modified_gmt":"2018-10-04T23:41:26","slug":"sewer-project-to-impact-traffic-on-72nd-avenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/sewer-project-to-impact-traffic-on-72nd-avenue\/","title":{"rendered":"Sewer Project to Impact Traffic on 72nd Avenue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A sewer extension\/installation project will impact traffic on a section of 72<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue from Friday, October 5<sup>th<\/sup> through Friday, October 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the project, the section of 72<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Zier Road will be closed to through traffic between 6:00 pm and 5:00 am each day from October 8<sup>th<\/sup> through October 12<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Preparatory work on the project will take place on October 5<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage.\u00a0 Between 5:00 am and 6:00 pm each day, two southbound lanes and one northbound lane will be open.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.\u00a0 Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about this project, contact Construction Supervisor Bruce Floyd at 575-6138.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/72nd-Avenue-Sewer-Project-News-Release-2.pdf\">72nd Avenue Sewer Project &#8211; News Release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A sewer extension\/installation project will impact traffic on a section of 72nd Avenue from Friday, October 5th through Friday, October 12th.
