Work to begin next week includes pulling out old sidewalks and removing trees in the public right-of-way. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 11pt;font-weight: normal\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Naches Avenue sidewalk\/tree project is the first to break ground with funding through Transportation Benefit District (TBD) car tab fees approved by the Yakima City Council late last year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 11pt;font-weight: normal\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;It is gratifying to see these dollars benefiting our local neighborhoods,&#8221; said Mayor Kathy Coffey. &#8220;Residents and businesses will continue to see these improvements in additional areas of Yakima as the program continues year after year.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 11pt;font-weight: normal\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Naches Avenue sidewalk\/tree replacement project will continue through spring 2019.
