Armed robberies were reported at two mini-markets in Yakima Saturday.<\/p>\n
At about 7:30 am on Saturday, November 17th<\/sup>, Yakima Police Department (“YPD”) officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Food Mart located at 620 North 16th<\/sup> Avenue.\u00a0 The suspect in the robbery of the Food Mart is described as a man wearing a tan mask, a black and gray flannel shirt, black jeans, and dark-colored shoes.\u00a0 The suspect is approximately 5’8″ tall and weighs approximately 220 pounds.\u00a0 The suspect was reported to be carrying a black firearm in his waistband.\u00a0 The suspect fled the store on foot and headed northbound.<\/p>\n A second armed robbery call was received at about 7:50 am from the Tieton Food Mart located at 4708 Tieton Drive.\u00a0 The suspect entered the store, pointed a firearm at the cashier, and demanded money.\u00a0 The suspect is described as a man between 5’10” and 6′ tall and weighing about 200 pounds.\u00a0 The suspect had his face covered and was wearing black jeans, a dark beanie, and a flannel shirt.\u00a0 The suspect fled the store on foot before getting into a vehicle located nearby.<\/p>\n Anyone with information about either of these incidents are encouraged to contact the Yakima Police Department at (509) 575-6200 or by calling 9-1-1.\u00a0 Tips can also can be reported to Yakima County Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-248-9980, on the organization’s website at crimestoppersyakimaco.org<\/a>, or on the “P3” app that can be downloaded for free at www.p3intel.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Armed robberies were reported at two mini-markets in Yakima Saturday.
