{"id":6740,"date":"2018-12-19T09:50:18","date_gmt":"2018-12-19T17:50:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=6740"},"modified":"2018-12-19T09:59:32","modified_gmt":"2018-12-19T17:59:32","slug":"holiday-closures-planned-for-city-of-yakima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/holiday-closures-planned-for-city-of-yakima\/","title":{"rendered":"Holiday Closures Planned for City of Yakima"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Many of the City of Yakima\u2019s facilities will be closed the next two Tuesdays, December 25<sup>th<\/sup>, 2018 and January 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2019 for the Christmas and New Year&#8217;s holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That includes City Hall, Y-PAC, and Parks and Recreation offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available. The Yakima Police Department&#8217;s Services Division and the City&#8217;s Municipal Court will both be open from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, December 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yakima Transit will not provide bus service on Christmas Day and New Year&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on either holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Garbage scheduled for pick-up on the two holidays by the City&#8217;s Refuse Division will instead be postponed by one day due to the holiday observances. Also, the Refuse Division&#8217;s office will be closed for Christmas and New Year&#8217;s Day. It is recommended that residents have their carts set out by 6:00 am for the day of their scheduled refuse pick-up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the City&#8217;s Harman Center will be closed to observe the two holidays. The Harman Center will also close at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 24<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lions Pool will close at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 24<sup>th<\/sup>, and all of Tuesday, December 25<sup>th<\/sup> for the Christmas Eve and Christmas holidays.
