It will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, at the Yakima Area Arboretum. One of the sponsors is the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan (YBIP) Water Use Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The focus is on creating water-wise\nlandscapes and gardens in our arid climate,&#8221; said City of Yakima Assistant\nPublic Works Director David Brown, who chairs the YBIP&#8217;s Municipal Water\nConservation Subgroup. &#8220;The workshop is being offered as part of the\nYBIP&#8217;s ongoing efforts in water conservation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdGH94-sF2sVYD7_vJIGWFhqKLRBWcdopfH41Zmt9liIGAWRA\/viewform\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdGH94-sF2sVYD7_vJIGWFhqKLRBWcdopfH41Zmt9liIGAWRA\/viewform<\/a>\nto register for the workshop. The registration deadline is Saturday, March 16<sup>th<\/sup>. Space is limited to the first 99 people who sign up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides learning about water conservation,\nworkshop attendees will learn how to create their own unique garden and utilize\ndrip irrigation for their landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more\ninformation about the workshop, contact featured presenters Ann Autrey\n(528-2683) or Heather Wendt (430-3693).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The March 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\nworkshop continues the City of Yakima&#8217;s water conservation emphasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last fall, the\nCity installed low-water use landscaping at the Public Works facility.
