{"id":6928,"date":"2019-02-04T21:13:45","date_gmt":"2019-02-05T05:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=6928"},"modified":"2019-02-04T22:38:41","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T06:38:41","slug":"city-of-yakima-facilities-opening-later-tuesday-due-to-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/city-of-yakima-facilities-opening-later-tuesday-due-to-weather\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Yakima Facilities Opening Later Tuesday Due to Weather"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As a result of inclement weather,\nsome City of Yakima facilities will be opening later than usual on Tuesday,\nFebruary 5<sup>th<\/sup> in order to allow Streets Division crews adequate time\nto make local roadways as safe as possible for drivers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City\nemployees assigned to the facilities\nlisted below do\nnot need to report to work until <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10:00\nam Tuesday unless directed to do so by an\nappropriate supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City\nemployees are encouraged to call the City&#8217;s\nInclement Weather Hotline (509-576-6777), look\nat posts on the City\u2019s various communications platforms and pay attention to\nlocal media reports to receive notice of any necessary changes to opening times\non Tuesday, February 5<sup>th<\/sup> for the City of Yakima facilities listed\nabove.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following City of Yakima\nfacilities will not open until 10:00 am Tuesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;\nYakima City Hall &#8211; (129 N. 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;\nYakima Public Works Facility &#8211; (2310 Fruitvale Boulevard)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Richard\nA. Zais, Jr. Law &amp; Justice Center &#8211; (200 S. 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Harman\nSenior Center &#8211; (101 N. 65<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;\nLion&#8217;s Pool &#8211; (509 W. Pine Street) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;\nYCTV\/Y-PAC &#8211; (124 S. 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Yakima Transit routes and Yakima Refuse routes will also be delayed by two hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yakima Police Department, the\nYakima Fire Department, and the SunComm 911\/emergency dispatch center continue\nto operate as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should additional adjustments\nneed to be made to the 10:00 am delayed opening time for the facilities listed\nabove, notice will be provided via the City&#8217;s Inclement Weather Hotline\n(509-576-6777), on the front page of the City of Yakima website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\">yakimawa.gov<\/a>) in the &#8220;City News&#8221;\nsection, on the Official City of Yakima Facebook page, and on the Official City\nof Yakima Twitter feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/City-Facilities-Delayed-Opening-February-5th-News-Release-1-1.pdf\">City Facilities Delayed Opening February 5th &#8211; News Release &#8212;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/City-Facilities-Delayed-Opening-February-5th-News-Release-1-1.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a result of inclement weather, some City of Yakima facilities will be opening later than usual on Tuesday, February 5th in order to allow Streets Division crews adequate time to make local roadways as safe as possible for drivers.
