Beginning Wednesday, February 13<sup>th<\/sup>,\nthe Permit Center will open at 8:30 am instead of 8:00 am. It will continue to\nclose at 5:00 pm each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;January 2019 showed a\nsignificant increase in construction activity, nearly $5 million more than in\nJanuary 2018,&#8221; said Code Administration Manager Joe Caruso. &#8220;Because\nof this increased activity, it is necessary to open the Permit Center 30\nminutes later so staff can conduct necessary administrative duties to start the\nnext business day. We are sorry for any inconvenience.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>January 2019 continued a building\ngrowth trend in the City of Yakima.
