The deadline for artists to submit an application is 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 28<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is to have the show ready for Friday, April 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the seventh season for the popular event, which\nenables talented artists and groups of artists to display their works and at\nthe same time help invigorate empty downtown storefront windows. Artists\nresiding in Yakima, Yakima County and elsewhere in Central Washington are\ninvited to submit entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the selection process by the Yakima Arts\nCommission, 6 projects will be picked for the 2019 display. Individual artists\nor groups who are chosen to show their work in the windows will be paid a $250\nstipend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An application form and additional information concerning\nentry requirements are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windowsalive.com\">www.windowsalive.com<\/a>.&nbsp; Questions about the project can also be sent\nto <a href=\"\\Users\\kcrocket\\Desktop\\yakimawindows@gmail.com\">yakimawindows@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All types of art work are welcome, including paintings,\ndrawings, fiber art, crafts, ceramics, photography, alternative materials and\nsculpture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current \u201cWindows Alive!\u201d installation began in October\nand is scheduled to end March 15<sup>th<\/sup>. The &#8220;Windows Alive!&#8221;\nart displays are located on the north side of Yakima Avenue between Hotel\nMaison and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWindows Alive!\u201d was created by the Yakima Arts Commission,\nwhich serves as an advisory board to the Yakima City Council.
