{"id":7105,"date":"2019-03-14T11:04:10","date_gmt":"2019-03-14T18:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=7105"},"modified":"2019-03-14T11:04:11","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T18:04:11","slug":"water-sewer-projects-continue-on-hathaway-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/water-sewer-projects-continue-on-hathaway-street\/","title":{"rendered":"Water, Sewer Projects Continue on Hathaway Street"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After one month of work, and\ndealing with on-going inclement weather, a project to replace existing water\nand sewer mains along a section of Hathaway Street remains on schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project limits on Hathaway Street are from North 6<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue to North 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue. \u00a0P.O.W. Contracting, Inc. of Pasco continues construction along various areas along Hathaway Street.\u00a0To date, the contractor has installed more than 700 lineal feet of new 8-inch sewer main and associated structures, replaced an existing Old Union Irrigation canal crossing concrete box culvert with a new 30-inch polyethylene pipe and started installation of a new 12-inch water line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead,\nthe contractor will continue installation of both new sewer and water lines\nthroughout the project limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction activity will continue\nto affect properties along Hathaway Street between North 6<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue\nand North 16<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and may cause some minor inconvenience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local access to residents and\nbusinesses will be maintained as best as possible during the project, although\nthe road is closed to thru traffic. Emergency vehicles, school\nbus and refuse services will be allowed through the project area when\nnecessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The overall project is expected\nto take 70 working days and be completed by the end of May.
