The “Fighting for Dignity\nand Justice for All March” is planned for Wednesday, May 1st<\/sup>.\nIt will begin and end at Miller Park (502 N. 4th<\/sup> Street).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The march will begin at 6:00 pm\non Wednesday at Miller Park. Organizers anticipate about 300 participants in\nthe march.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The march will head south on 3rd<\/sup>\nStreet and proceed along the following route:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–\nTurn left at the intersection of 3rd<\/sup> Street and East Yakima Avenue\n(heading east)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            –\nTurn right on South Naches Avenue (heading south)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            –\nTurn right on East Chestnut Avenue (heading west)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            –\nTurn right at North 1st<\/sup> Street (heading north)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            –\nTurn right on East F Street (heading east)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            –\nEnd at Miller Park <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three stops are planned in\nDowntown Yakima along the route: The Tower Building (402 E. Yakima Avenue), the\nWilliam O. Douglas Federal Building (25 S. 3rd<\/sup> Street), and the Yakima\nCounty Courthouse (128 N. 2nd<\/sup> Street).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The march is expected to last\napproximately one hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will\nhave rolling road closures provided by the City of Yakima Police Department,\nwith officers stopping traffic at intersections as participants pass those\nlocations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motorists are\nadvised to avoid the area of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
