{"id":7403,"date":"2019-06-04T15:29:34","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T22:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=7403"},"modified":"2019-06-04T15:29:34","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T22:29:34","slug":"train-tracks-removal-to-impact-traffic-on-south-1st-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/train-tracks-removal-to-impact-traffic-on-south-1st-street\/","title":{"rendered":"Train Tracks Removal to Impact Traffic on South 1st Street"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Removal of deactivated train\ntracks will result in daytime lane restrictions along a portion of South 1<sup>st<\/sup>\nStreet on Thursday, June 6<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the project is underway,\nSouth 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street between Pacific Avenue and Arlington Street will experience\nperiodic lane restrictions, but traffic will be allowed through the project\narea.&nbsp; Work on the project will take\nplace from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on June 6<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers can expect delays in the\nproject area. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is\ncompleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the\nspeed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is\n20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to businesses in the\nproject area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will\nbe allowed through the project area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may\ncause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
